Nursing Assistant / Home Health Aide Training Program
Nursing Assistant (formerly CNA) / Home Health Aide training is a 120-hour course conducted over five weeks that includes classroom, lab, and hands-on experience in a local nursing home. Your nursing home experience is fully supervised by licensed nursing professionals. Our Nursing Assistant program and instructors are also approved by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. The school is licensed by the Massachusetts Office of Private Occupational School Education, Division of Professional Licensure.
This program prepares you for the Massachusetts CNA State Exam that is given in our classrooms.
Students will be trained and tested for CPR and First Aid Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
Career opportunities for Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA’s) / Home Health Aides include, but are not limited to, working in a hospital, nursing home, private residence, or doctor’s office.
Classes are scheduled monthly. All classroom training and testing are done at LifeStream’s Employment & Training facility at 444 Myrtle Street, New Bedford.

Medication Administration Program (MAP)
The MAP program ensures that candidates seeking to be MAP certified staff are prepared to safely administer medications as regulated by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.
This training is currently available only to employees of LifeStream Inc.
