Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy applies our understanding of how behavior works in real situations for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
The goal is to increase behaviors that are helpful and decrease behaviors that are harmful or affect learning, including language and communication skills, social skills, and academics.
ABA therapy involves many techniques for understanding and changing behavior. It can be uniquely adapted to meet the needs of each individual, and teaches skills that are useful in everyday life.
LifeStream’s Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) program offers outpatient and in-home services for individuals from nine to twenty six years of age. Services are provided by our trained clinical staff including:
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst
- Licensed Applied Behavior Analyst
- Registered Behavior Technician
We work with individuals on skill acquisition and development; increasing independence, socialization and communication skills; and decreasing challenging behaviors.
Under the Affordable Care Act, ABA services are covered by most health insurance plans for children up to 26 years of age with a medical diagnosis of ASD. LifeStream is currently accepting most major medical insurance plans for this service.
