Commitment to Community

Founded in New Bedford, Massachusetts in 1976, LifeStream has grown to become one of the area’s largest companies. Our service area has expanded to include Taunton/Attleboro, the South Coast from Swansea to Wareham, and Cape Cod. Yet despite our growth, our roots remain here in Southeastern Massachusetts. In addition to the many families who directly benefit from our services are the hundreds of LifeStream employees who have a great place to work. Being one of the area’s biggest employers offers numerous benefits to the community; allowing residents to buy homes, purchase goods and services, and fuel the local economy.

As further indication of our commitment to the City of New Bedford, we recently announced plans for creation of a two-acre campus at the corner of Nauset and Myrtle Streets. The building on Nauset Street has been renovated to serve as a Day Habilitation Center. The second building on Myrtle Street has served as our corporate headquarters and home to a Supported Employment program since 2001. In the near future the buildings will be joined. The campus also opens possibilities for expansion of on-site programs, recreational facilities, and more office space.
